Woman Tasered after stabbing inside of truck with baby inside

Tiffany Jackson

HILLIARD, Fla. — A woman was Tasered after reportedly lunging and swinging a knife at a deputy from the inside of the passenger’s side of a truck, which had a baby inside.

Tiffany Jackson, 25, was charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting an officer with violence, according to a Nassau County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

A man called to report that his friend, Jackson, was stabbing the inside of his truck with a knife she grabbed from inside the truck.

According to the report, Jackson stated “she would cut anyone who reached inside the truck” and started swinging the knife at a deputy near the passenger’s side, but the deputy was able to avoid Jackson.

Jackson was yelling that deputies were “’gassing’ ‘spraying’ and showering her with bleach,” the report detailed. She was also yelling at people who were not there and “at times was very confused as to what was going on,” the report said.

Once deputies determined the knife was closed and away from the baby, Jackson was removed from the truck. She “hit and kicked” at another deputy “after he gave verbal commands to get on the ground,” according to the report, and was then Tasered.

Jackson was checked by rescue personnel and then taken into custody for observation under the Baker Act at UF Health Jacksonville and was then taken to the Nassau County Detention Facility.
