Wanted woman arrested in connection with beach hit-and-run


Janelle Davis is accused as an accessory in the hit-and-run crash that killed Daniel Stein in July.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Police arrested a woman as an accessory in connection with a fatal hit and run in Jacksonville Beach.

Janelle Marie Davis, 32, turned herself into police Wednesday night.  She is wanted for tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact.

Police wanted to question her as part of the investigation into the crash that killed Daniel Stein in July.

A car struck and killed Stein as he walked on 3rd Street North on July 5.

The suspect in the crash, Darrell Dejuen Lundy, turned himself into police about three weeks after the crash.
