Young boy's death ruled accidental

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

The medical examiner is calling the death of a 7-year-old boy an accident.

Brailand McCray died at his home in downtown Jacksonville over the July 4 holiday weekend.

Police, at the time, did not suspect foul play in his death.

The medical examiner found ligature marks along his neck, and ruled the cause of death as asphyxia by hanging.
