Man accused in Clay County road rage shooting pleads not guilty

On Tuesday, the man accused in a Clay County road rage shooting pleaded not guilty.

Deputies say Timothy Carrow shot a passenger in another vehicle on US-17.

Action News Jax confronted the 31-year-old in October when he bonded out of jail.

At the time he said, “It was road rage. The guy was aggressively approaching me, would not get off me.”

Action News Jax reporter Beth Rousseau questioned Carrow again on Tuesday outside the courtroom.

When asked the reasoning behind the shooting, and if he had any word for the victim Carrow’s response was “not comment”.

Auto experts say 80% of drivers expressed aggression or road rage at least once in the previous year.

In October, the victim in the Clay County incident said he had not idea why he was shot.
