DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A man accused of sexual battery on a dog entered a plea of no contest.
James Guy Bull, 62, pleaded no contest to four counts associated with accusations of dog abuse.
According to the arrest report, neighbors in March said they saw Bull engaged in sexual conduct with a small brown female dog in a manner that caused the dog to yelp and cry. On another occasion, witnesses told deputies they saw Bull sitting in a chair with his pants down to his ankles with the dog in his lap.
Deputies arrived and found the dog chained to a post on the porch in front of Bull’s home, emaciated and showing signs of severe sexual abuse.
The dog is now with animal rescue.
Bull is charged with cruelty to animals, felony cruelty to animals and sexual activities with animals.
He will be sentenced on Sept. 19 in Daytona Beach.
