Bestselling author Tom Clancy dies at 66
BALTIMORE -- Thriller author Tom Clancy died at a Baltimore hospital Tuesday, the New York Times reports.
Clancy wrote numerous books including The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games and the Sum of All Fears.
Many of his books were turned into Hollywood films.
He also co-founded the successful video game development company responsible for franchises including Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six.
Clancy was 66 years old.
