This ban is on semi automatic weapons that might can have attachements on them or military style butts. It goes much further than previous ban. People need to understand an "Assault Rifle" is one capable of full automatic fire. This new bill looks to ban rifles under the excuse of crimes but does not address the reason the 2nd Amendment was created that is not for protection, for hunting, but for keeping the government honest. Read your biographies of the people who designed our Constitution you might be shocked by what insight they had about governments becomming corrupt taking rights away for any excuse.

This is something that, let's just say, will never happen as far as legal gun owners giving up any firearms. It seems crazy to think that our goverment can supply assault weapons to groups around the globe, but when it comes to the american people, they wish to ban them. Are they afraid that when it's time to take this country back that they just don't want the honest american gun owner to have a way to protect ourselfs?
