DOWNEY, Calif. -- (
CBS Los Angeles) -- At least two people were killed and three others were injured in two separate shootings in Downey Wednesday.
The Downey Fire Department responded to the shootings at a business and home in the 8700 and 8500 blocks of Cleta Street off Lakewood Boulevard around 11:30 a.m.
Officials say the owner of the home is connected to the family-owned business, United States Protection Services Inc., which is just two blocks away.
Authorities confirmed two people are dead and at least three others were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries.
