Hunters kill record-setting 727-pound alligator

MADISON, Miss. -- Mississippi has opened their alligator hunting season and within the first three days, the state record for the largest alligator has been broken -- twice.

Of course backwoodsman, I don't mind them being hunted to keep them regulated for over population, for food/leather,or from eating pets and people. But I hate to SEE anything or anybody with an obvious bullet hole.

Great catch! Hope this season is a success. Amanda D. Please notice the snout crocodiles have a much more pointed snout. Fred T. It's a form of highly regulated hunting for the purpose of population control.

if some aren't killed, especially that size, they could easily kill anything it wanted. you would rather they wait till it eats someone

I am disgusted...bad enough we kill them, but do we have to have pics of them with the bullet hole in his head.
