PHOENIX (AP) - A judge has ruled that police in Arizona can immediately start enforcing the most contentious section of the state's immigration law.

The ruling on Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton marks the first time police can carry out the 2010 law's requirement that officers, while enforcing other laws, question the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally.

The requirement known by the law's critics as the "show me your papers" provision has been at the center of a two-year legal battle that culminated in a U.S. Supreme Court decision that upheld the requirement.

Opponents then asked Bolton to block the requirement and argued it would lead to racial profiling of Latinos.

Less controversial sections of the law have been in effect since late July 2010.

Well smart you know what. Breaking into a house is a crime these people come here and most of them don't commit crimes they just try to work as hard as they can so they could feed their families. Just because they are stopped by a policeman 1st time because they ran a stop sign they shouldn't call immigration, they should just receive a ticket like anyone else, but if they commit a worst crime then that then yea go through immigration, but other wise they are hard working people that shouldn't be sent back to their country for a ticket, they should be helped. And about them getting help by government that is a big lie almost all americans stay on unemployment or social security because they are lazy and say they can;t work or can't find jobs when its a lie. And these people don't get unemployement, don't social security all they might get will be food stamps to feed their CHILDREN other then that they work to pay rent, utilities just like you. ILLEGAL, NOT ILLEGAL, AMERICANS WE ARE ALL THE SAME UNDER THE EYES OF GOD!!!! IF YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT!!!

All of you have no heart. Do you know that these "wetbacks" that ya call have families and most of them cause you no trouble. They don't work in office or sitting down greeting customers, or doing customer service, like some of you do. These people work under the sun for more then 8 hours a day, do jobs that people like you might not even get caught doing. they are hard workers just like you and have famuilies to feed just like you. Ya won't last not even a day in their shoes or in some of the countries these people live in. If ya can't find jobs, it's because ya aint looking hard enough. God made everyone the same and no one is different, even though they come from another country. This law for me needs to go and give these people a chance. Some of you have homes and need grass cut you call these people to come do it. And anyways the first people that were already here in America was not Christoher Columbus, It was ancesters of some of these people ya call wetbacks.
