Police: Grenade possibly used in bank robbery
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Police are investigating a robbery at a Wells Fargo at Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Buford Highway.
Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh is speaking with police and witnesses at the scene.
Gwinnett police told her the robber may have used a grenade to threaten employees.
The robbery happened about 9 a.m. Police said the robber flashed a note demanding money, then pulled out what appeared to be a grenade.
He took the money and his grenade before fleeing the scene.
There were no reports of injuries.
Police don't know if the object was a real or fake grenade.
