Isnt gonna matter whether you can afford health insurance anymore. You will have to buy it or be fined. The irs is going to running it. You are making someone who cant afford health insurance have to buy it or be fined while the insurance companies and obama get rich. there goes your tax refund.

smith 578. You think is great because you think its "Free" and it is the answer you were looking for but its not. Nothing is free. Even if get on Obamacare doesnt mean you will get the help you need or want. Just that you wont get turned away. (you don't have the choice to leave if you don't like the treatment of your health or how they will help you) Because you will be breaking the law. You are now stuck to what the goverment says the type of health care treatment you should get. Not the option to find something better because if you can choose then you have to buy private healthcare insurance that is sky rocketing and if your are working and scraping by. You are paying for it in the end. Somthing to think about. President Obama is helping the poor and making sure middleclass is going there as well. We were lied to and now forced to pay. Having a choice is what makes us great and a democracy. Taking choice away is not. The definition of TAXES is: a sum of money demanded by a government for its support or for specific facilities or services, levied upon incomes, property, sales, etc. 2. a burdensome charge ... ITS NOT FREE and you will pay for it in the end not by choice but by force.

This isn't a Health care, this is a TAX. We were lied to. The news and everyone called it a "Mandate". Now we are told, HAHA its really a tax hiding as a mandate and you will be fined "PUNISHED" if you don't get health insurance. Most american's (middleclass) can barely afford healthcare and we now have to pay premiums on top of health insurance, BUT we do it. So we pay twice. One, out of our paychecks. Two, in premiums. Here is the crazy part. We have medicaid for the poor, medicare for the old, tricare for military and private insurance for the middle class. But it wasn't good enough because the poor had a choice to get on medicaid. (WE couldn't make it better?). Now the middle class we are getting hit a third time. We will be paying a third time for insurance "TAX" at the end of the year. Now we will be paying for other people when we can hardly afford our own family. We buy Private insurance now we will be paying for Obamacare as well. I am not under the assumption that this is "FREE" The goverment is not going to pay for it. If the government can't help the, State of California out of being broke. We borrow billions from China because we are broke. Obamacare claimed this is so great because you won't get turned down for previous health issues. BUT what Obamacare didn't say that they would treat you or that you would get the best. Just that you won't be turned away. How much taxes can you put on the middleclass before it breaks? You can't even dream the american dream of getting rich anymore. If after saving all your life you make it up, the goverment will take 35% to 45% of what you finally earned away from you, now. So if you work hard to make it up the tax bracket ladder to upper class wealth because that is the dream of the middleclass. It is now almost impossible. Now make is so easy to give up for the word "FREE" when free is really an illusion that middleclass has to pay again.

@therev…Just how old are you? You are talking about back in the day BEFORE our capitalism created a business called health insurance company, with CEO's that make millions on the backs of sick people. These insurance companies do nothing more than shift money around…Kind of like bankers…But in this society today, that's the way it is…"WE" have created financial monsters that are slowly sucking all of us dry! Damned if you do and damned if you don't! The 'insured' are going to end up paying for all of the 'uninsured' one way or another...

This is another case of the government controlling our lives. When I was in grade school and high school we could see a doctor. Now you pay for a nurse that make a hugh amount of money. The doctor now needs a person to make your appointment, another one to bill the insurance companies. No wonder they charge so much. I could go to the doctor and if I got a shot it was $5.00 not a hundred or more. A tooth pulled or filled was twenty or twenty fie dollars not hundreds. Back then they either had one nurse to help or nobody but themselves in their office. When my daughter was born I paid the Doctor $50.00 and the hospital one hundred dollars. Look what they charge you today. I have been going to the same doctor for close to two years and heve yet to see him. His nurse does everything that is nessesary. We do not need more government junk shoved down our throats. I feel sorry for those that are not going to be able to get coverage as it will put them under medicare that is slowly going broke, just like our social security.

Hahahahah...I am pretty sure that's not 'illiteracy' speaking 1country, I think its 'foriegn'...either way he/she doesn't have a clue as to what this law is going to do in the long run...Why don't the government just give all of us 'free' health care coverage?...Canada seems to being doing well with it. And then we won't know WHO the bums are of our tax dollars.

I am glad that the president pass this law for the people without or cant afford health insurance. People like grumpyoldman have problems. I worked for years and got in car accident last year. I lost my job due to 2 surgery and or medical problems. All the insurance I applied for wanted 2,000.00 a month or more because I have health problems. I am a single mom trying to keep healthy for my kids and find another job. I had to drop my heaith insurance because I cant afford it.So what do people like grumpyoldman have to say about that. A lot of people talk bad about the president which is wrong. I think he is doing a great job. The man who that running for president he is sad and dishonest. I listen to him a few minute ago he sound crazy, because no one time he said anything about keeping people health to be able to work in these jobs he trying to create. What heve this world came too.
