Realchange, let's not forget that Ms. Alexander already has one felony conviction. As such, she broke the law just picking up the gun. Second, she fired a shot in a room with two children. Angela Corey insists this is child endangerment. Regardless of what she's done, Alexander was convicted of her second felony offense with a gun and florida law says that's an automatic 20 years.

I would like to point out he got less time for a violent intentional crime than locally Marrisa Alexander is being given for firing a warning shot. Her husband testified that he beat her up in the past. He had been arrested for punching women in the face that would not know when to shut up. Testified under oath that he blocked the garage so she could not escape when he caught her back in the home. The judge in the Alexander case practically ordered the jury to convict her. Our famous prosecutor Corey insisted she take 3 years or be given 20 years if convicted (12 years for good behavior). So when you are outraged realize this punk who is guilty of assault and robbery gets less time than a woman who had enough beatings in her life. Why is it suddenly against the law for victims in Fla to resist criminals? Why do the voters and the people in this state tolerate those out of control political powers that insist on doing that? Strange that criminals are getting less time than citizens who stand up and try to protect themselves and not be victim anymore.

I agree this kid wasn't hungry. Generally people who steal because of hunger tend to steal from stores and don't use weapons. If the only reason they are committing the crime is to feed themselves or family they are usually ashamed of what they are doing and don't want to endanger others. As soon as this POS pulled a gun on the bus things changed if you pull a gun on someone you should be prepared to die. Unfortunately we will have to pay for this guy to have an attorney and sit in prison.

Seattle has a huge crime problem downtown. The homeless problem and pot use of destroying the reputation of that city. I was there 4 years ago and was violently mugged myself, all within a block of the 5 star hotel I was staying at. Vagrants and black youths prey on those that are seen as "targets of opportunity". I fought my assailants and they both went to prison, but the situation there has gotten out of hand. I guarantee that this kid wasn't hungry, he was probably bored or part of a gang.

They should have just killed his azz? Let e get this straight, this man attempted to rob someone, could have potentially killed the victim and now you advocate we do to him what we pretend to fight so desperately? Murder? What if he stole out of huger? What if he is dying and can't afford his meds? What if he got stuck in a horrible situation taking care of younger siblings, or disabled parents? What if his only way to feed himself was to resort to violence? We should kill him? What if this is a first time offense? We should kill him? Good Christian you are.. way to go on setting us back a few hundred years..
