ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The attorney for the man accused of fatally shooting Florida teenager Trayvon Martin is asking the judge in the case to modify his bond conditions.

Mark O'Mara filed a motion late Wednesday asking that George Zimmerman be allowed to leave Seminole County. In granting Zimmerman $1 million bond release last month, Judge Kenneth Lester mandated that he remain in the county of the February shooting.

Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

O'Mara argues that the mandate is interfering with Zimmerman's ability to contribute to his defense. Due to safety concerns, Zimmerman is living in hiding.

Lester revoked Zimmerman's original $150,000 bond in June, which did not have the same living restrictions, after he ruled that Zimmerman and his wife had misled the court about their financial status.

Wonder if people would be outraged if say someone like spectre had his bond changed from 1 million to 100 million or even a billion? Bail and its entire concept is for the rich person to get out not the common person. Bail companies often charge 10 percent of the bail amount as fee for bailing you out. That means on million dollar you would owe 100k. I want see this judge hand someone whos rich that commmits a crime a 100 million dollar bond. They wont do that because the system is set up to let the rich out easy not the common person till their trial comes up.
