WEST JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said investigators believe a man used dating apps and social media to lure at least six strangers and attack them on Jacksonville’s westside.
No tips have come in to Crime Stoppers yet about a man police believe is responsible for two sexual assaults this month and four armed robberies since March.

JSO said the attacks happened near the intersection of South Lane Avenue and Manotak Avenue.
“It’s just scary. I don’t even want my daughter to walk outside, you know?” said Michelle Friel, who lives at an apartment complex nearby. “A lot of crime. There’s gunshots every day. There’s police cars pulling up and arresting people every day in here.”
JSO said victims describe the suspect as a 220-pound black man who’s between 5’9 and 5’11 with low, coarse hair and a medium complexion.
