One person shot in the hand on Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person was shot in the hand late Friday night on Fraleigh and Ashford street on the Northside.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the area at around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a call about the shooting.

According to deputies, a vehicle approached the victim as he was walking, something was said, the victim was subsequently shot

The victim was transported UF Health.

The Violent Crimes Task Force responded.
