Rebecca Nelson

PALATKA, Fla. — Putnam County deputies arrested Rebecca Nelson, 32, suspected of stealing from a home and pawning stolen items at a local pawn shop.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a theft from a home. Investigators determined that jewelry, narcotic medication and other items had been stolen from the home.

The victim told deputies he suspected that someone with access to the house was responsible for the theft.

Investigators were able to determine that the stolen jewelry had been pawned at Cash Daddy Pawn in Palatka. Detectives say that Nelson stole the items and pawned them.

Nelson was booked into the Putnam County Jail Tuesday. She was charged with grand theft, four counts of dealing in stolen property and four counts of providing false information to a pawn broker.
