It's like the scene in the 1986 movie "Stand By Me," except in real life.

A man defecating off a bridge was forced into the frigid Passaic River by a train, NorthJersey.com reported.

The incident happened in Paterson, N.J., 20 miles from New York City.

The website reported  that an employee on the train "saw the man on the tracks on a bridge ... with his pants down around his ankles."

The train was moving slowly, but it was unclear whether the man jumped from the bridge to avoid being hit or was knocked into the water by the train.

The man was screaming for help after landing in the water but was eventually rescued and taken to a local hospital.
