Report: Florida woman grabs cop's crotch after assaulting elderly woman

A woman remained in the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday after city police said she assaulted an 87-year-old woman outside an oceanfront condominium tower, then grabbed an officer by the crotch.

Boca Raton police arrested Haelan Snow, 37, on Tuesday with charges of assault on a person 65 years and older, resisting an officer and battery on an officer.

Police say Snow was found yelling and shaking her first at several older woman in front of the Stratford Arms condominiums on South Ocean Boulevard south of Camino Real.

The 87-year-old woman was believed to be the target of Snow’s hostility, police said in their report.

The victim appeared terrified of Snow and tried to back away from her in fear of getting punched. The report does not specify -- if or how -- Snow physically attacked the woman.

The officer then pulled up to the building and arrested Snow, who tried to resist him, the report said. While Snow was handcuffed, the officer walked her to the police car where she then stopped in front of him and grabbed his crotch.

The officer also found a glass pipe “with a milky white residue” in her belongings and charged her with possession of drug paraphenalia. Snow remained in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of a $6,500 bail.

She has no permanent address, jail records show.
