LONGWOOD, Fla. -- Authorities are still looking for at least one person involved in a shootout on the streets of Seminole County.

Deputies said people in at least three cars started shooting at each other along State Road 434 close to Wekiva Springs Road near Longwood.

The violence then spilled over into four other areas of the county, leaving bullet casing behind. No random bullets hit drivers.

Deputies were called after gunfire erupted just feet from drivers on the busy street.

Investigators found shell casings a few steps from the road.

Seminole County deputies were still canvassing for clues hours after the shootout in Longwood.

One man was surprised to come home to deputies in his front yard Wednesday.

"I think I'm going to lock my doors and reload my gun tonight," said the man who did not want to be identified.

"About 15 to 20 shots rang out," said witness Jerry Balliet.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said it began here, when a black truck rammed the side of a Grand Am.

"Shots began to be exchanged, we're not sure how many, or who fired them, also on scene was a black Cobalt," said Kim Cannady with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.

The truck and Cobalt fled.

The Cobalt crashed at State Road 436 and Douglas Avenue, where three people were taken into custody.

One had gunshot wounds, another had injuries from the crash.

The truck fled to the Remington Inn and Suites.

Jackie Summers saw it go by her window.

"Like a bullet, there wasn't anything slow about it," Summers said.

Moments later, she saw deputies with guns drawn.

"Yeah I ain't seen guns like it, these cops ain't playing," Summers said.

The sheriff's office said everyone in the truck fled.

"We're not sure how many more we're looking for," Cannady said.

It's concerning for one woman who didn't want to be identified because she believes she saw one of the men in front of her home.

"When he saw us he turned around and was scared and took off into the woods," she said.
