2 airlifted, 17 students injured in inflatable slide accident in LaGrange
LAGRANGE, Ga. (WSB) -- Troup County authorities are investigating what caused an inflatable slide to flip and injure 19 students at a LaGrange school Friday.
A Troup Co. deputy told Channel 2 Action News a 24-foot inflatable slide flipped over at Rosemont Elementary School around 12:30 p.m. In total, 19 children were injured, two airlifted to Children's at Egleston Pediatric Hospital and four transported to West Georgia Medical Center by ambulance.
Many students went home after the accident. School has been dismissed for the day.
