OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities have arrested four people, including a 15-year-old boy and 20-year-old man, in connection with a recent shooting spree in Osceola County that left two people dead.

Konrad Schafer, 15, and David Damus, 20, have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the killing of David Guerrero, 17, and Eric Roopnarine, 22.

Juan Sebastian Muriel, 20, and Victoria Rios, 17, were also arrested in connection with Roopnarine’s death.

For the first time, WFTV is hearing from the devastated family of one of the victims.

The family of 17-year-old David Guerrero, who was shot and killed on his way to work, said they didn't want this to go on for one more day

They said they've come to a makeshift memorial every single day, just steps from their house.

They said they're relieved it's all over because they couldn't bear to see the violence go on another day.

The memorial at the spot where Guerrero was gunned down is a growing reminder of how senseless the shooting rampage was.

"They have no idea how (many) family lives they have touched, how many families are suffering for this," said Liz Zapata, Guerrero's aunt.

"So young, he had his whole life ahead of him," Santiago Aguirre, a friend of Guerrero, said.

The killing is part of a string of a dozen random shootings and another murder that turned Osceola County neighborhoods upside down

"We living in fear, living in fear, all of us," said Wayne Hamilton. A bullet went through his 3-year-old daughter's window.

At the center of it all, authorities say, was 15-year-old baby-faced Konrad Schafer who, along with David Damus shot up homes and killed Guerrero for "fun."

Investigators said Schafer and Damus, along with two other teens, also carried out a home invasion, robbery and murder of a 22-year-old in a home, on July 4.

People who knew Schafer and Damus were shocked to learn of their arrests.

"I would never believe, I would never imagine it," Schafer's neighbor Rosa Aguilar

"Very, very, very quiet guy, very good guy," said Damus' cousin Anthoiny Dorvilier.

The break in the case came this weekend when volunteers found a .45 caliber casing in a retention pond near where Guerrero was murdered.

WFTV broke the story nearly two weeks ago, and said that same type of bullet was used in all the shootings and linked to one gun.

Authorities said the powerful .45 caliber rifle used in the shootings belonged to Schafer's dad, who they tracked down after realizing he purchased it a day before the shootings started.

Schafer's dad told authorities he had no idea what his son was doing with the gun.

All four are being held without bond and will face a judge for the first time Wednesday.
