Cops: Man tries to run over wife hits convenience store
ATLANTA, Ga. (AJC) -- A man is facing charges after authorities say he hit a convenience store while trying to run over his wife.
The incident happened Monday night at a Coweta County store on Ga. 34 and Ga. 16.
Coweta deputies said Gregory Sims hit another car before hitting the store in his pick-up truck.
Witness Jeffery Bowles told Channel 2 Action News that, “It happened so quick, I thought I was going to get hit for real.”
Sims is charged with DUI and aggravated assault, Channel 2 said.
No injuries were reported.
