ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Family members of a missing Orange County mother now believe something sinister might be to blame for her disappearance.

Carline Brumaire-Jean, 39,  hasn't been seen or heard from for more than two weeks.

Family members held a vigil for her Wednesday evening and her 7-year-old son looked on as those around him discussed the disappearance of his mother.

“I'm pleading for my wife's safe return. I miss her. Our son misses her,” said Brumaire-Jean’s husband, Enel Brumaire Jean.

Enel pleaded for any shred of information that might help investigators find his wife.

Carline vanished Feb. 9 after her shift at the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios Orlando.

She was last seen in her red Toyota Camry on Turkey Lake Road.

Friends and family members are convinced something happened to her and she didn’t run away.

“She has no reason at home to run away. Something wrong happened to her. Please help me bring her home,” Enel said.

Orange County Sheriff's detectives aren't on the same page as the family.

They said they are worried, but don't think Carline is in harm’s way.

“We are concerned about her.  We are actively looking for her.  And yes, it's heightened for us.  We certainly want to return her to her family,” said Jeff Williamson with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. “Their concerns have not fallen on deaf ears. We’re concerned about her well-being as well.”

Those who know Carline want that too and are holding out hope someone comes forward with something that brings the mother home.

Her family also pleaded that the Sheriff's Office conduct a thorough investigation without leaving a stone unturned.
