JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- With a day until kickoff of the 2013 Florida-Georgia game, fan mania was alive and well at RV City. Some have been in town since last week waiting for RV City lots opened Wednesday. Fans paid $125 to park in the lots next to Everbank Field and showed off a ton of memorabilia -- whether orange and blue or red and black.
The tradition-rich game and atmosphere comes as both teams limp into the game, trying to gain bragging rights from an unexpectedly down season so far. But no matter who you root for, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office wants to make sure you're aware of traffic plans.
JSO Officer Melissa Bujeda recommends you get downtown by 10:30 a.m., five hours before kickoff. By 1:30 p.m., police say priority will be given to pedestrians, and you could be caught in traffic mess.
