CLARKSTON, Ga. -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested two people overnight on charges related to the death of a man whose body was found at Georgia Perimeter College.
Christopher Shepard and Constance Mason were arrested early Thursday morning, the GBI said. Both live on North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston.
Shepard, 28, was charged with one count of murder and Mason, 44, was charged with false statements and writings. Both are being held at the DeKalb County Jail pending bond hearings.
Both charges are in connection to the death of 23-year-old Alpha Oumar Diallo. His body was found June 10 on the GPC Clarkston Campus on North Indian Creek Drive.
An autopsy revealed Diallo’s cause of death to be strangulation and blunt force injuries to the head.
The GBI said the arrests are the results of a joint investigation with GPC Police, with assistance from the DeKalb County SWAT Team.
Diallo’s family said they moved to Clarkston from French Guinea in 2008. The said he was a straight-A student studying information technology at Westwood College in Atlanta.
