ORLANDO, Fla. -- Police are searching for the driver who crashed a car into a home with a 93-year-old woman inside, and then took off Thursday night.

It happened on Bruton Boulevard, not far from John Young Parkway.

Witnesses to the crash told WFTV's Kenneth Craig that the car came flying off the road and went into the living room of the house.

There were two family members in the home when the accident happened.

Family members told Craig that the 93-year-old and the other person in the home would normally have been in the living room when the car came through the wall, but both happened to be in another room at the time.

The homeowner wasn't in the house at the time of the crash, but said she got a frantic call.

"My aunt said it sounded like a bomb," said Theodosia Cobb. "It really scared her. She has congestive heart failure so that was my main concern."

Orlando police said they don't have much of a description about the hit-and-run driver.

The description they have is a black male driving a blue sedan, possibly a Mercury, with a lot of damage.

The people who live in the house will stay with family members Thursday night.
