ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Orange County man out for a walk was ambushed and robbed by two gunmen on Golf Club Parkway in Pine Hills, said deputies.
Investigators said the victim obeyed all the gunmen's orders and did not resist, but they fired a shot, grazing his head.
"When we arrived, we found a mid-40s black male who stated two young black males approached him on foot. One had a firearm and they ordered him to lay on the ground, which he did," said Lt. Paul Hopkins of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
The two men described as skinny and shirtless, wearing dark shorts, stole the man's cellphone.
"This person was fully cooperative; laid on the ground put his head to the ground and uncovered his head with his hands, letting them do what they wanted to do, yet they still fired a shot toward his head. That's our big concern," said Hopkins.
Deputies said they searched the area with dogs and a helicopter, but were not able to find the two men.
They believe they had a vehicle waiting nearby.
"These guys showing violence toward cooperative victims, so there's no telling what else they'll do," said Hopkins.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and will be OK, officers
