Mother, son charged in home invasion robbery

BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A man and his mother are facing charges in a home invasion and robbery in Brunswick.

Police say two men broke into a home on Sweet Gum Drive on Thursday morning. One man pointed a gun at the 18-year-old who lived in the home.

The two men took off. A neighbor saw the men walking behind her house and called police.

A police officer spotted a car being driven by a woman with two men trying to hide in the backseat. The car was pulled over and all three were arrested. Police recovered a stolen cell phone, jewelry, and three guns.

Tyler Addison, 19, and Deandre Whitfield, 18, face charges of armed robbery, burglary, false imprisonment, pointing or aiming a gun at another, possession of a firearm during certain crimes, possession of pistol or revolver by minor and interference with calls for emergency assistance.

Venus Addison, 47, has also been charged with burglary.  She is Tyler Addison's mother.
