Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney to retire

ORLANDO, Fla. (WFTV) -- Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney is retiring, according to Orlando Police Department officials.

Mayor Buddy Dyer is expected to announce Rooney's retirement Wednesday morning at a press conference.

A police spokesman said Dyer will also announce Rooney's replacement at the same press conference.

Rooney is Orlando's 37th police chief.
