ORLANDO, Fla. (WFTV) -- Illegal strip clubs are popping up without warning all over Orlando, officials said.
Mike Rhodes with Orlando Code Enforcement said they've busted four in areas all over the city.
Teandra Presley recently pleaded no contest and paid a fine after she was busted for operating an illegal club in the 200 block of Orange Blossom Trail which was raided back in May.
Cops said alcohol was being illegally sold and found a gun, drugs and other evidence.
They said the place was more than just a clothing store.
Neighbors said they knew something was going on because during the day, very few customers showed up.
At night, it was a different story.
"When I drove by here I probably seen 100 cars in the parking lot," neighbor James Carson said.
Presley said she didn't know she was doing anything wrong.
"Nobody got naked and drinks weren't sold, it was free alcohol and they tipped the bartender," Presley said.
She said she only started the lounge because her clothing store wasn't making any money.
Presley said she did not intend to knowingly run an illegal business.
"That's not the case. It started out as an exotic dancewear boutique," Presley said.
