ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WFTV) -- A vandal has targeted a Baldwin Park couple eight times since February.
The couple said the criminal is getting more brazen, and is now terrorizing neighbors.
The victims said someone broke into their garage Tuesday night.
The wife said she is so scared for her family she asked to remain unidentified and the location of her home kept out of the news.
Baldwin Park has been plagued with burglaries, thefts, and tire slashings.
"I didn't think that could happen in this area," said Baldwin Park resident Gabriela Ramirez.
"We have laid awake at night thinking, 'who could this be' and we have no idea," the victim said.
The only thing that comes to mind for that woman and her husband is the night he yelled at someone stealing a sign in their yard.
The other day, the victim closed her garage, but when she woke up she found a strip of nails behind the tires of her car.
She may never have noticed it, had she not popped her tires a few weeks earlier on another strip of nails the mysterious vandal left in the driveway.
The victims believe the same person has been killing people's grass with some sort of chemical.
Last month, Eyewitness News broke the story about the Orlando Police Department using the Joint Anti-Crime Unit to tackle crime in the area.
The scared mother of two said she just hopes the vandal is caught before things escalate.
OPD is looking into the crimes.
