ATLANTA -- A north Georgia woman says she wants answers after an apparent prank in a restroom left her with serious injuries.

Channel 2's Tony Thomas spoke Monday with the woman, who wants answers from not only the store where it happened, but whomever put glue on the top of the toilet seat lids.

Twelve days after the incident, Illyanna De La Keur says she remains couch-bound. She told Thomas not only were the injuries she suffered painful enough, she's also very embarrassed.

"I'm a grown woman who can't even sit up," De La Keur said. "I was stuck probably over an hour."

De La Keur went to a Banks County Home Depot the day before Thanksgiving with her sister and brother-in-law.

She said when she went to the restroom, she never noticed anyone had tampered with seats until it was too late.

De La Keur's sister took video as paramedics worked to free her. You can hear her screaming in pain. Crews ultimately decided to use WD-40 to free her.

It worked, but she was left with ripped skin and several wounds. De La Keur and her family now question the process.

"I couldn't understand why they weren't just taking me to an emergency room and having a doctor remove it," De La Keur said.

"She wasn't in her right state of mind to OK an experiment on her. It worked, but I don't think she should have been there," De La Keur's sister, Aleera Canino, said.

A Home Depot representative said the company has left De La Keur two voice messages and mailed a letter to her. Home Depot said a third party is now handling the case.

I agree with Sodad, she needs to take blame for her own actions. She is an adult but, sure did not act like a responsible person, and embarrassed? I would even guess, she did it to her self. Why would anyone want to have a video recording if it was so embarrassing. Paper seat covers were available in every Home Depot I ever visited, and most other stores. If not available, I was taught to at least wipe the seat first. There are too many common sense reasons why this could not occur, even by accident. In this day and age, many people do things by design, then plead ignorance. Especially, if they think they can get a buck out of it. I don't see 'embarrassed' I see 'looking for media coverage and monetary gain'.

People makes mistakes all the time (no one is perfect), but that doesn't give us the right to be critical to that person. Instead we should have compassion and pray for them.

I am sorry that this happened to the poor woman, but who in their right mind doesnt check the toilets in public places before sitting down. Most places have the sanitary papers that can be placed on the seat and i am sure if she would have done this she would have noticed then, that there was something on the seat. This lady has to take some responsibility in this matter.

#1 - If you are so embarassed, why the heck are you talking to the media??? #2 - Instead of complaining about not being taken to the hospital, respect and appreciate the paramedics for helping you! #3 - Accept some responsibility for your own actions!!!!
