DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (Palm Beach Post
) -- A Boca Raton woman on probation for DUI offenses was arrested Tuesday after police alleged she drove under the influence before parking and going to sleep in her car.
Jacqueline Fumero, 49, is accused of DUI and violating her probation. She remained at the Palm Beach County Jail late Wednesday in lieu of $15,000 bond.
A witness reported seeing Fumero swerving as she drove and then pull into a parking lot in the 4200 block of West Atlantic Avenue.
Paramedics were called and found her asleep with the engine still running. They turned the car off and contacted police. The key was still in the ignition when officers arrived.
Fumero appeared to be impaired and had the smell of alcohol on her breath, the arrest report said. She told officers she had a little to drink earlier, but could not advise how much.
She was placed on probation in November after being convicted in two separate DUI crash cases last year. Under the terms of her probation, she is prohibited from consuming intoxicants for one year, the report said.
A breath sample provided by Fumero had a breath alcohol level of .250, police said.
