Condoleezza Rice: 'Enough! Donald Trump should not be president'

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice over the weekend joined Republicans calling for Donald Trump to withdraw from the race for the White House after a controversial 2005 recording of the GOP presidential nominee was posted online.

"Enough!" Rice wrote Saturday in a Facebook post. "As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and stature to run for the highest office in the greatest democracy on earth."

Trump has faced heavy criticism since the video, which captures a conversation between Trump and "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush on the set of "Days of Our Lives," was obtained by The Washington Post and published Friday. Trump was on set to film a cameo.

Trump has been lambasted for his comments, which appear to fit the Department of Justice's definition of sexual assault.

"You know, I'm automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them," he says. "It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. … Grab them by the (expletive). You can do anything."

At a debate Sunday, Trump reiterated an earlier campaign statement that equated the conversation to "locker room banter."

"Donald Trump should not be president," Rice wrote. "He should withdraw."

Multiple Republicans have pulled their support of the GOP nominee amid the ongoing scandal, including Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona), former Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina and Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-New Hampshire).

Trump has said he will not drop out of the presidential race.
