LUMBERTON, N.C. — A North Carolina man named Ronald McDonald became involved in an altercation that led to him being shot Thursday at a Sonic restaurant in Lumberton, North Carolina.
WNCN reported that McDonald, 36, was arguing with Telvin Drummond, 24, an employee at the drive-in restaurant.
McDonald is married to one of the managers at the Sonic location.
Lumberton police Capt. Terry Parker told The Robesonian that McDonald and Drummond has a "verbal confrontation."
"Mr. McDonald returned to Sonic where another argument took place, leading to both men shooting at each other," Parker said.
The shooting was reported at 7:20 p.m. An investigation is underway.
Police said McDonald suffered non life-threatening injuries.
