Amazon Prime is known for its one- and two-day shipping standard, one of the major benefits that attracts customers to pay for the monthly or yearly subscription. But after Prime Day shopping, many customers said they found out it would take three or four days to receive their Prime purchases.

"Amazon Help I’m not sure how with Amazon Prime 2 day free shipping allows an item ordered on Monday night to be delivered Friday? Please explain this to me. No sense in paying for this membership if it’s not going to deliver in 2 days,” one shopper complained on Twitter.

Amazon replied to some customers saying that one-day and two-day shipping refer to transit time in business days once the order has shipped.

"Product availability, additional preparation time, severe weather, and delivery capacity can all affect your delivery date," the e-commerce giant's Twitter account said.
