KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine — Former first daughter Barbara Bush has lived a very public life, but, on Sunday, she accomplished a major feat by keeping paparazzi at bay when she married Craig Coyne in a secret ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine.

People magazine reported Monday that Bush, 36, married the actor and screenwriter in an intimate ceremony at the Bush family compound in. Her father former President George W. Bush, former first lady Laura Bush and her grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush,were all in attendance Sunday.

Now that the nuptials have gone public, the curiosity has grown about Coyne, 37, and the back story on how he met and wooed the former first daughter.

Here are a few facts about Barbara Bush’s new husband, Craig Coyne:

He attended a Georgia high school.

Several news sources have reported Coyne is an Atlanta native. According to his Linkedin profile, he graduated from Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia. He also graduated from the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

He had a role in the 2005 film “Jarhead.”

Coyne, who is reportedly an actor and writer, was handpicked by Sam Mendes to play the role of young Mr. Swofford in the war film "Jarhead," according to Coyne's writer profile on the Independent Talent agency site.

He has written for Comedy Central and several other television projects.

Though Coyne has appeared in a handful of feature films, his primary focus is screenwriting, according to his agency profile. He worked on a live-action show for Comedy Central. He has also developed and written an original series starring Jim O’Heir of “Parks and Recreation.”

Coyne met Bush through a blind date.

The comedy writer first met Barbara Bush last November when the pair were set up for a blind date, according to the Daily Mail. This summer he asked Bush to marry him at the same spot her grandfather popped the question to her grandmother, the late Barbara Bush.

Coyne and Bush’s wedding location ties back to her grandfather.

Reportedly, Barbara Bush selected the family compound in Maine for her under-the-radar wedding, because her grandfather, who has experienced several health setbacks, lives there.

Her twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager paid tribute to their late grandmother during the wedding reception. She told the "Today" show that she decided to read a letter that her grandfather wrote to her grandmother many years ago.

“I ended with a letter that my grandfather wrote to my grandmother because I searched all the romantics and Shakespeare just wasn't doing it. He was sitting right next to me as I read it,” Bush Hager
