New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Jordan Callahan scored a game-high 27 points as Tulane eased past Nebraska-Omaha, 76-52, at the Joe Cipriano Nebraska Classic at Devlin Fieldhouse.
Josh Davis added a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Ricky Tarrant finished with 10 points for the Green Wave (2-1), who have won two straight.
Alex Phillips was the lone member of the Mavericks (1-3) to score in double digits, netting 13 points as Nebraska-Omaha dropped its third consecutive contest.
Tulane opened the game with a 7-2 run and maintained its lead throughout its wire-to-wire win.
After a 6-0 spurt by the Mavericks brought them within 16-12 with just under nine minutes left in the first half, the Green Wave outscored them by a mark of 19-9 for the rest of the half to carry a 35-21 advantage into the break.
Nebraska-Omaha never threatened in the second half, trailing by at least 13 points over the final 20 minutes of action.
