Recap: UAB vs. Old Dominion

Birmingham, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Chad Frazier scored 27 points and dished out four assists as the UAB Blazers defeated the Old Dominion Monarchs, 75-66, in Conference USA action at Bartow Arena.

C.J. Washington netted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds for UAB (14-6, 3-3 C-USA) before fouling out. The Blazers have won two games in a row and three of their last five.

Dimitri Batten scored 18 points to lead the Monarchs (10-11, 4-2), adding seven rebounds and four steals in the loss. Ambrose Mosley came off the bench to score 16 points, shooting 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Old Dominion has lost two of its last three games.

UAB netted 44.1 percent of its shots in the first half, but went just 2-of-9 from 3-point range. Still, the Blazers went into the locker room with a 35-24 advantage. Old Dominion connected on just 31.3 percent of its shots in the frame.

The Blazers exploded in the second half, hitting 56.5 percent of their field goal tries, including 5-of-8 from 3-point distance. The Monarchs shot 37.8 percent from the floor, but outscored UAB, 42-40, in the period.

ODU had the edge in points off turnovers, 25-6, but UAB won the rebounding battle, 46-41.
