Recap: Nebraska Omaha vs. South Dakota St

Omaha, NE (SportsNetwork.com) - Brayden Carlson tallied 17 points and four assists as the South Dakota State Jackrabbits defeated the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks, 77-60, in Summit League action at Ralston Arena.

Cody Larson and Jake Bittle both recorded double-doubles for SDSU (15-10, 7-3 Summit) as they finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds apiece. Zach Horstman posted eight points and nine boards off the bench to help the Jackrabbits collect their fifth win in a row.

Mike Rostampour led the Mavericks (15-10, 4-5) with 15 points. Devin Patterson and C.J. Carter scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, as Omaha had a three- game winning streak concluded.

The Jackrabbits took a 37-27 lead into halftime after they knocked down 45.1 percent of their field goal attempts and 8-of-10 shots at the free-throw line in the opening period. Omaha was limited to 30.3 percent efficiency from the floor in the first half.

SDSU improved to shoot 48.6 percent from the field in the second stanza. The Mavericks managed to sink only 33.3 percent of their field goal attempts including a 2-of-10 clip from beyond the arc after the break.

The Jackrabbits dominated on the interior as they finished with a 50-29 edge in total rebounds and outscored Omaha, 48-16, in the paint.
