Gators change up offense at first open practice

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators had their first of eight open practices for fans to watch tonight in Gainesville at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium at the Florida Lacrosse Facility.

Coach Will Muschamp is right about one thing: This is a very talented Gator football team on both the defenses and offenses sides of the ball.

The Gators will run an offense unfamiliar to Florida fans the last three seasons, with quarterback Jeff Driskel operating solely out of the shotgun.

Driskel looks as comfortable as the Action Sports 360 team has ever seen him operating out of the shotgun while the team worked on its passing game under new offensive coordinator Kurt Roper.

A veteran offensive line led by center Max Garcia and tackle DJ Humphreys returns this season as well.
