JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The regular season is inching closer as the Jacksonville Jaguars head into their third preseason game in Detroit against the Lions this week.
Coach Gus Bradley spoke on their focus heading into the contest.
"For this game we talked about three quarters for these guys, but they may not go all three quarters.
The big thing for us is to get them playing and then also our rotations....so they get a feel for how a game is going to go," Bradley said.
As far as players go, the Jags are looking to start Chad Henne for a quarter and a half, and then bring Blake Bortles in for a quarter with the first team.
Both Cecil Shorts III and Dekoda Watson will get around 15 reps in their preseason debuts.
In other notes Luke Bowanko took reps at Wednesday's practice after sustaining an ankle sprain last week.
It will be determined how he is feeling while Jacques McClendon gets the start at center for him.
