Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox activated veteran outfielder Shane Victorino from the 15-day disabled list prior to the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels.
Victorino went 1-for-5 and scored once in Boston's 7-2 win.
Victorino hadn't played since May 20 due to a strained left hamstring. He appeared in one rehab game for Triple-A Pawtucket Thursday night and hit a homer.
In 35 games for the Red Sox this season, Victorino is hitting .280 with a pair of homers and 10 RBI.
The Red Sox made room for Victorino on the roster by sending outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. to Pawtucket. Bradley is batting .154 with a homer and six RBI over the first 19 games of his major league career.
