Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs agreed to terms on a two- year contract with outfielder Ryan Sweeney on Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the pact does include a club option for the 2016 season.

Sweeney batted .266 with 13 doubles, six home runs and 19 RBI in 70 games with the Cubs during the 2013 campaign.

A second-round pick of the White Sox back in 2003, the 28-year-old Sweeney owns a career .278 average with 20 homers and 204 RBI in 605 games over parts of eight seasons with the White Sox, Athletics, Red Sox and Cubs.
