Jags get draft pick for D'Anthony Smith
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars submitted their roster cuts to the NFL today and it included a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for defensive tackle D'Anthony Smith.
Smith was going to be released by the Jaguars, but Seattle coveted the former draft pick and chose to give up an unconditional draft pick instead of wait out the waiver wire.
Smith was a third round draft pick back in 2010 for the Jaguars, but spent his first three years in a Jaguars uniform injured. He has played this preseason and contributed in the Jags games.
