Jaguars enjoy up tempo offense
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new look fast paced offense under new coordinator Jedd Fisch and the players are taking a liking to it.
The Jaguars are ranked second, behind the Philadelphia Eagles, when it comes to the time taken to snap the football between plays. On several occasions Saturday night against the New York Jets, the officials had to slow the Jaguars down so they could set the ball.
The Jags are averaging 23.8 seconds between snaps while the Eagles are averaging 23 seconds flat.
Fisch stressed the up tempo offense in the offseason to give players and especially the lineman a chance to be in top condition when they returned for training camp.
The Jaguars and Eagles will play on Saturay night at EverBank Field in a game that should move quickly.
