Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh goaltender Tomas Vokoun has been released from the hospital and is resting at home, Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said Wednesday.

Vokoun had been hospitalized since undergoing a procedure on Saturday to dissolve a blood clot in his pelvis. There is no timetable for his return.

The 37-year-old Czech supplanted incumbent Penguins starter Marc-Andre Fleury during the playoffs this past spring, going 6-5 with a 2.01 goals-against average and backstopping the club to the Eastern Conference finals.

Vokoun also missed the end of the 2005-06 season and the entire postseason, when he was the starter in Nashville, due to blood clots in his abdomen.
