Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Graeme McDowell beat fellow U.S. Open winner Webb Simpson with a par on the first extra hole Sunday and that helped McDowell jump 10 spots in this week's world golf rankings.

McDowell, who won for the second time on the PGA Tour, moved back into the top 10 at No. 8 in the new rankings.

The top four were unchanged with Tiger Woods trailed by Rory McIlroy, Masters champ Adam Scott and Justin Rose.

Luke Donald and Brandt Snedeker exchanged places with Donald up to fifth. Louis Oosthuizen held steady in seventh and was followed by McDowell.

Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood, Keegan Bradley and Sergio Garcia all dipped one place and are ranked ninth to 14th.

Charl Schwartzel inched up one to 15th, while Bubba Watson and Ian Poulter both fell two spots to 16 and 17. Simpson improved a pair to 18th and Dustin Johnson dipped two places to 19th. Jason Dufner closed out the top 20 again this week.

Raphael Jacquelin won an epic 9-hole playoff on the European Tour on Sunday and that helped him soar 52 spots to 94th the new rankings.
