Vazquez gets first win at the Puerto Rico Classic

Dorado, Puerto Rico (Sports Network) - Sebastian Vazquez carded a 71 on Sunday to win the inaugural Puerto Rico Classic in just his second professional start.

Vazquez finished at 14-under 274 -- two strokes clear of Jorge Fernandez- Valdes, who also shot 71 on Sunday.

Julio Zapata recorded a 71 at Dorado Beach's East Course as well to take third place at 11-under, Gustavo Acosta (69) finished fourth at 9-under and Emilio Dominguez (69) took fifth at minus-8.

Vazquez, a 22-year-old from Mexico City, was in the field at this inaugural PGA Tour Latinoamerica event just six weeks after finishing atop the World Amateur in Turkey.
